Mid-North Residence Introduction

MID-NORTH RESIDENCE

Preliminary design is complete for the
renovation of an existing mixed-used
complex in Chicago's Mid-North historic
district. The exterior walls of two existing,
historic masonry structures will be maintained
and restored, while the interior will be
renovated as a single-family residence.
Within this masonry shell, the home will
feature a series of terraced outdoor spaces,
including a large courtyard at grade with a
grove of five trees. Construction will begin in
2009. This is a Vinci – Hamp Architects design.
